The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident which happened just before 10 a.m. between the Harrison Avenue and Hopple Street exits. Only one lane of the highway was open immediately following the crash, but the highway had reopened by 11:30 a.m.
The pursuit involved sheriff's office deputies. It is unclear if anyone was injured in the incident or if any arrests were made.
A dark-colored sedan was damaged in the crash and left the highway coming to rest in tall weeds. The car had front end damage.
A truck was also towed away from the site, but officials have not said if that truck was involved.
